In a global sourcing world centered on far-flung supply chains often built on illegal subsidies and trade practices, customs fraud and duty evasion, and underpriced goods, one key U.S. free trade agreement has remained a linchpin for American textile and apparel manufacturers’ competitiveness and job growth and domestic supply chain stability. The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, […]

Republicans have a long list of questions about the Iran deal, and they are so far noncommittal about whether it’s even something they can support. That’s not stopping many of them from defending President Donald Trump, though, as Democrats claim the agreement is no better than the one he threw away in 2017, when he […]
The signing of the interim peace deal between the US and Iran will take place on Friday near Lucerne in Switzerland, according to the country’s foreign ministry.
Senate Republicans said they’re pressing the Trump administration for details on the US-Iran interim peace deal and signaled Congress will ultimately vote on the final agreement.
Steven Spielberg’s highly anticipated alien movie “Disclosure Day” hit theaters last Friday. In the weeks leading up to its premiere, a circulating theory — fueled by the government’s ongoing UFO file declassifications — suggested Spielberg collaborated with the government to prepare the public for real alien disclosure.Glenn Beck saw it on opening night, and he says it’s definitely “worth seeing.”But could it actually be predictive programming? On this episode of “The Glenn Beck Program,” Glenn shares his raw thoughts on what “Disclosure Day” really means. Glenn isn’t ready to dismiss the theory that “Disclosure Day” is predictive programming — entertainment designed to plant ideas so that future real-world events feel familiar and less shocking.“The Department of War and the CIA have had an official entertainment liaison office for decades,” he says.“They are brought in to help shape stories, and it's not a shadowy conspiracy ... [Hollywood is] given jets and bases and technical advisers for their movies, and in exchange, they shape the stories for the government, and this is documented policy.”However, there’s another framework worth considering: George Gerbner’s cultivation theory.Gerbner’s theory argues that long-term, heavy exposure to media gradually "cultivates" or shapes people's perceptions of reality, making them believe the world is more like what they see on screen than it actually is.Glenn points out that heavy media consumption is one of the modern era’s defining characteristics, as people are “scrolling and staring and consuming media” essentially “eight hours every day.”“[Gerbner’s] research shows that heavy viewers develop mean world syndrome where everything is a danger. They overestimate the danger, crime, threats. They become more fearful, more dependent, and more open to strong-man measures,” he explains. What if “Disclosure Day” isn’t preparing us for real aliens but rather attempting to scare people into submitting to future government mandates? The most critical question, Glenn insists, is: “Who profits from the fear?”“We've been seeing a steady drum beat of disclosure that is happening. I don't know what's real and what's not,” Glenn confesses. But he does know one thing: “A government who has been denying [aliens] for decades suddenly decides to open the door?”“Why? And who profits from fear?” he asks.To hear more, watch the video above.Want more from Glenn Beck?To enjoy more of Glenn’s masterful storytelling, thought-provoking analysis, and uncanny ability to make sense of the chaos, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.
CNN's Harry Enten was surprised by the polling data for Vice President JD Vance, who's considered a frontrunner for the 2028 Republican presidential nomination. The 41-year-old vice president has taken an active role in defending the nebulous agreement to end the war in Iran and has been promoting his forthcoming memoir, "Communion," and the network's chief data analyst told "CNN News Central" that prediction markets had soured on his chances."Become the Republican nominee, they have been tumbling, they have been falling down," Enten said. "What are we talking about? A real closing here since the beginning of the year. Chance to be the 2028 GOP nominee, you know, you go back a few months ago. Look at this, clear favorite, 50 percent chance, Marco Rubio way back there at 11 [percent]. But look at this, the gap is closing, it is closing. Yes, Vance is still the nominal favorite. But Marco Rubio right behind him at 28 percent.""So, you know, what happened during that period?" Enten added. "Obviously, the Iran war happened during that period, and that made JD Vance's chances tumble and has made Marco Rubio's chances go right up – it's neck and neck."Vance enjoyed am 81-75 approval rating lead among Republicans over Rubio in January, but the secretary of state now holds a 77-69 advantage among GOP voters, and Enten dug deeper into the vice president's popularity."You know what I always say, you go to a home state, the people who know you best," Enten said. "That to me oftentimes gives you an idea of their political future, and on this one, take a look here. Now, this is the general electorate. But Vance's net favorability rating in Ohio, you know, you go back to the 2024 election, he was at plus-five points. Even in Ohio, in JD Vance's home state, among the electorate overall, he is underwater among independents. Look at this, he's 27 points underwater. JD Vance, not so popular in the Buckeye State."In his new book, Vance walks back his smear against "childless cat ladies" in the Democratic Party, but Enten found the damage has already been done."How is he doing among women, among men?" Enten said. "Well, he's underwater with both of them. Among men, he's slightly underwater at minus-two points. Of course, if you're a Republican, you need to be popular with men if you're going to win a national election. Among women, he is way underwater, he's 26 points underwater, and the gender gap in the Quinnipiac University poll, when you match them up against other Republicans in the Trump cabinet, the highest, the largest gender gap, it actually belonged to JD Vance.""He doesn't need to win women if he's going to win in 2028," Enten added, "but he can't be this unpopular among them." - YouTube youtu.be
A Democratic lawmaker fired back at a Trump nominee after he refused to respond to questions during a confirmation hearing on Tuesday.Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) had a direct response to Deputy White House budget director nominee Hal Duncan during his testimony before the Senate Budget Committee. Sen. Jeff Merkley had asked a pointed question of Duncan, which the nominee tried to dodge."Do you believe the 2020 election was rigged?" Merkley asked."I believe that Joe Biden was certified as the winner of the 2020 election," Duncan said. Merkley pushed back. "He was certified, yes, but do you believe the election outcome was rigged?" Merkley said.Duncan repeated his response."Duly noted that you're not responding to the question," Merkley said.Kaine then pressed Duncan. The senator pointed out his concerns about his nomination."Saying President Biden was certified as the winner of that election is like saying today is Tuesday, June 16. It's obvious, it's a fact," Kaine said. "But he wouldn't acknowledge that President Biden won that race," Kaine added. "There's only one of two reasons, Mr. Duncan, you have either fallen victim to the conspiracy mindset that says that election was rigged and if you're a conspiracy theorist you shouldn't be let anywhere near the position you've been nominated for. Or, President Biden won the election, but you're afraid of making an insecure president mad by acknowledging that fact."Deputy White House budget director nominee Hal Duncan refuses to acknowledge that Biden won the 2020 election, but then moments later asserts that Trump won in 2024, prompting Tim Kaine to point out that he's clearly "afraid of making an insecure president mad" pic.twitter.com/zqUoPwYwUX— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) June 16, 2026
