As the results trickled in for candidate Spencer Pratt, he projected confidence that not only did he already beat out Nithya Raman to make the runoff against incumbent Karen Bass — but he’s also confident Bass will be an easy opponent.“Spencer Pratt is kind of already assuming he’s into this runoff,” BlazeTV host Stu Burguiere says, before playing a clip of Pratt talking to reporters before the results were all in.“Are you going to debate Karen Bass again?” a reporter asked Pratt. “And what do you want to tell her if she sees this?”“You know, I loved debating her on NBC. I look forward to a couple more on NBC and Fox. We can do debates every Friday if she would like because this actually became my most favorite thing to do,” Pratt responded.“I hope she’s ready, because I literally could not be more excited,” he added.“It is usually a good thing for a politician, Dave, to debate the dumbest people around them. So I think Spencer Pratt is in a good position here,” Stu says."It has helped a lot of people in the past. So I think it’s a very good idea,” co-host Dave Landau agrees, though he adds, “unfortunately, in California, I’m not sure if it’s going to help.”“Yeah, it’s still going to be tough in Los Angeles for Spencer Pratt to win because when you have a situation where it’s two Democrats and one Republican, their votes get kind of split up,” Stu says.“When you go the opposite way, and you have one Republican versus one Democrat, it’s very difficult to win in a city like this, especially in an election time that’s probably going to be pretty difficult for Republicans generally,” he continues.“Pratt though is looking at this positively, Dave. He’s trying to take a positive spin on what is to come here in the next few months,” he adds.In an interview following the latest election results, Pratt exclaimed that “obviously God wanted five more months” of him “exposing all the failures of our mayor.”“So it’s going to be a fun ride. I hope she’s ready,” he said, adding that he was “born for this.”“As far as debates go and going up against her and just trying to show track record,” Dave comments, “he’s got it in the bag.”“As far as the, you know, votes that come in the bag in the middle of the night, those are the ones that I’d have to worry about,” he adds.Want more from Stu and Dave?To enjoy more of Stu and Dave's lethal blend of wit, humor, and insightful commentary subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.
Alex Jones unloaded on Donald Trump Thursday over the president's decision to nominate acting Attorney General Todd Blanche to permanently lead the Department of Justice, calling it "terrible news" and accusing Blanche of betraying Trump's MAGA base.Trump announced his intent to nominate Blanche during a White House event Wednesday evening. Blanche, Trump's former personal lawyer, has served as acting AG since April after Trump fired Pam Bondi.Jones tore into the nomination on his show Thursday morning. "Terrible. Democrat lawyer. Sold everybody out," he said on the Alex Jones Network. "Killed the investigations into the government weaponization against Trump's top supporters. It's just really terrible news."The criticism carries a personal edge. Jones lost control of Infowars after The Onion acquired it in a bankruptcy auction tied to a $1.5 billion Sandy Hook defamation judgment against him — a takeover Jones is still fighting in court. In September 2025, Blanche ordered a DOJ official, according to the Associated Press, to drop an inquiry into that lawsuit — one Jones had celebrated as proof the DOJ was fighting "illegal lawfare" against him.Jones also seized on the controversy surrounding UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland, who claims in a social media video that he was barred from a White House UFC event over his criticism of Israel — framing it alongside the Blanche pick and Jones's own Epstein file grievances as evidence of a "social credit score" being imposed on Trump supporters.Blanche's nomination requires Senate confirmation.

Some of Donald Trump's most reliable supporters are pushing back after the White House announced the president would deliver a speech as the replacement for artists who pulled out of the America 250 celebration, with critics on the right calling the move self-aggrandizing and tone-deaf.The White House promoted the event as an "AMERICA IS BACK Rally!" but prominent conservative voices were not impressed.Matt Walsh, the right-wing commentator and one of Trump's most prominent media allies, called the decision an unforced error. "Replacing a concert with a speech is lame and boring," Walsh wrote on X. "Just go out and get real musicians to play. Don't cancel the concert just because a bunch of washed up old has-beens canceled. There are hundreds of artists out there who might not be famous but would absolutely leap at the chance to play on a stage like this."Jenna Ellis, the former Trump campaign lawyer who was among those charged in the Georgia election interference case, was more direct. "America 250 is not about Trump," she wrote. "This is so egotistical."Conservative commentator Jackie Chea made a similar point, suggesting Trump "shouldn't make the concert into a rally" and instead should "channel his Show Biz days and let new artists compete with patriotic songs."The pushback comes as the White House has struggled to fill the entertainment void left by artists who declined to perform at the event marking the nation's 250th anniversary, with Trump's solution appearing to generate as much controversy as the original cancellations.America 250 is not about Trump. This is so egotistical. 🤦♀️ https://t.co/2SGfSXtHh8— Jenna Ellis 🐊 (@realJennaEllis) May 30, 2026
