Trump's White House sweating as new Epstein settlement imminent: expert
Source: Raw Story · Bias: Far Left
Summary
The temperature in President Donald Trump's White House is about to go up as a Trump ally mulls a potential legal settlement, according to a new analysis. Bank of America is reportedly in talks with victims of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein to settle claims concerning the bank's connection to Epstein's sex trafficking operation. That settlement was revealed after hedge fund manager Leon Black's deposition before the House Oversight Committee was moved up in the schedule, according to New York Times reporter Matthew Goldstein. That settlement should "raise the temperature" in the Trump White House because it shows the investigation is moving one step closer to shining a light on whatever it is Trump wants to hide, legal expert Joyce Vance. "Given these allegations, the news that a settlement is imminent should certainly raise the temperature at the White House," Vance argued in a new Substack essay. She also noted that the war in Iran seems to be serving its purpose — to continue distracting the public from the Epstein files. "Before the war in Iran began, the contents of the Epstein files and the names of those implicated in them seemed to be all anyone was focused on," she added. "Bill and Hillary Clinton testified before we bombed Iran. Shaiel Ben-Ephraim, an analyst and former Israeli diplomat, noted that once that happened, Google searches for the Epstein Files 'plummeted.' What more had the White House hoped to prevent from being disclosed? It appears that at least some of it is about to come to light." Read the entire essay by clicking here.
