Summary
A late-night comedian escalated his feud with first lady Melania Trump on Monday night with a stinging rebuke. The Daily Beast reported on Tuesday that Jimmy Kimmel blasted the first lady, who has previously called Kimmel a "coward" and advocated for his firing, during a new episode of his show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" He described Melania Trump as a "buzzkill," in reference to previous comments her husband made about her disdain for his dancing. “Melania hates when you do things. No way!” Kimmel said. “I can’t believe it. What a buzzkill. Why would she hate that? It’s so much fun. He’s just trying to have fun.”Kimmel also roasted the first lady over a photo of her that Trump shared on his social media accounts. “At 11:04, he posted this even more unbelievable picture of Melania smiling," Kimmel said. "I don’t know the last time we saw that."Kimmel's comments come after Melania Trump and her husband called on ABC to fire Kimmel following the shooting at the White House Correspondents' Dinner last month. Both of the Trumps blamed Kimmel's criticisms of Trump for the shooting. “People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate," Melania said in a statement at the time. "A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him.”
