CNN data guru pinpoints what finally sent 'real cracks' through Trump's angry MAGA base

Summary
The rising cost of living is driving a wedge in the GOP and even turning loyal Trump supporters against him, a CNN data analyst said."We're starting to see real cracks in the Republican coalition right now," data analyst Harry Enten told CNN's Erin Burnett on Friday. "It comes to the cost of living. Their patience is running out."Enten pointed to poll numbers showing that 39 percent of voters say that the GOP is on the right track when it comes to lowering the cost of living. That was compared to 54 percent of voters saying Republicans were on the wrong track before the war in Iran started. "This is a Republican base that has stuck with Donald Trump through thick and thin," Enten said. "But when it comes to the cost of living, they're feeling the pain at the pump, and they're taking their anger out." Support from young Trump voters has dropped significantly, too, Enten added. He noted poll numbers that show 92 percent of Trump voters between 18-34 still supported Trump as of January, and those numbers are down to 57 percent. "People have been waiting, wondering, 'hey, when is there finally going to be some breaks along this coalition?'" Enten said. "You see on the cost of living, and you see it amongst the youngest Republicans, the ones who, of course, are most susceptible because they tend to be the ones who are in the lower rungs of the income ladder."
