Donald Trump threatened a federal judge by name Sunday and attacked a female plaintiff as a "serial" litigant in a Truth Social post defending his plan to build a military drone port on top of the proposed White House ballroom, warning the judge that he "will be held responsible" if anything goes wrong."Judge Richard Leon should stop playing games with America's Security!" GOP strategist David Urban, who in 2016 served as President Donald Trump’s senior campaign adviser, issued his former boss a harsh warning on Sunday, cautioning the president that he may soon face a wave of congressional subpoenas if he doesn’t dramatically shift course ahead of the midterm elections.Appearing on CNN, Urban was responding to Trump’s remarks last week where he told reporters that he didn’t “care about the midterms” as it relates to his deeply unpopular war against Iran.“People are putting their hand in their pocket and pulling out a $20, they've got to pump their gas, get their kids a pizza – makes things much, much more difficult,” Urban said.“And so the president may care a great deal [about the midterms] when he comes back in January of next year because they're going to get nothing but subpoenas and subpoenas and subpoenas if the House does flip.”Democrats have already outlined their plans should they reclaim control of the House, plans that involve a wave of congressional subpoenas to be issued to everyone in Trump’s orbit, including White House ballroom donors, law firms that “signed deals” with the president, media giants that settled cases with Trump, and even the president's own family members.And, with analysts predicting a potentially historic loss for the GOP in November, Urban laid out what he argued were the two “giant problems” facing the White House.“Now toward the midterms, they have to pass a bunch of legislation. Part of that is the president's ballroom, they're looking for funding there, part of it is this compensation fund being all held up in the Senate,” Urban said. “I don't think that gets through, I don't think the House [or] Senate votes are there, Republicans are going to exact a pound of flesh on that. And then moving forward going to the midterms, it's very difficult. Republicans are structurally pushing a big rock up a hill because the party in power, traditionally, loses seats.”

With President Donald Trump’s favorability at historically low levels as his policies continue to economically ravage Americans, GOP strategist Brad Todd issued the president a tight deadline to turn things around, or risk a devastating collapse of power.Trump’s tariffs and his decision to launch a war against Iran have sent prices for a number of goods skyrocketing, leading to a considerable backlash from voters that has led analysts to predict a historically poor midterm election performance from the GOP. Todd noted, however, that Trump’s personal grievances with members of his own party – grievances that have put several GOP lawmakers at odds with the president – may compromise his ability to win back support from voters ahead of the midterms, and urged the president to focus on rebuilding his coalition before it’s too late.“Right now, there are eight senators in the Republican conference out of 53 who are pretty put out with the White House. That is a bad margin when you still have bills to pass and bills to pay,” Todd said Sunday during an appearance on CNN. “Some of these problems are self-inflicted – they didn't have to happen this way.”Dave Urban, another GOP strategist and former senior advisor for Trump’s campaign, echoed Todd’s concern, warning the president that he was facing “giant problems” that didn’t “get any easier” to address “when you've got a bunch of angry Republicans.”Just before the segment ended, Todd issued Trump a tight deadline he argued would be necessary to meet in order to save Republicans from a devastating loss this November.“The next 30 days is big,” Todd said. “The president has 30 days to turn this ship.”
