Woke Democrat California gubernatorial candidate and former Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra is facing scrutiny after defending taxpayer-funded health care for illegal aliens in a recent interview on CNN’s “The Story Is.” Pressed by host Elex Michaelson about why illegal aliens should remain on the state’s health-care rolls, Becerra replied that he looks at them as “hard workers” like his immigrant parents and declared, “If you’re working hard, I want you to have healthcare.” He miserably argued that many of these workers are the people “picking the crops,” building homes and caring for elderly relatives, saying Californians benefit from their labor even if they lack legal status.
