As United States’ attacks in the Middle East escalate and oil and gas prices continue to surge, the Trump administration is facing growing questions about the timeline for the Iran war. NBC’s Peter Alexander reports for TODAY from the White House.
The president said the U.S. could accompany tankers through the Strait of Hormuz if necessary to keep oil flowing. “We’ve already won in many ways, but we haven’t won enough,” he said.
Cheap fuel had been a bright spot for the US economy before tankers stopped moving through the Middle East.
