Trump chronicler sees 'new loser mood swirling around' president

Journalist and former magazine editor Tina Brown is drawing attention to growing frustrations with President Donald Trump by his own allies and supporters. A Politico poll revealed in a report on Wednesday showed that Trump has lost 13 points with his own supporters since May. The numbers showed that it isn't entirely related to gas prices, though that appears to be part of it. Just 37 percent of those who consider themselves MAGA Trump voters told Politico that the U.S. should "continue its involvement only if it doesn’t increase costs, up from 29 percent who said the same in May, according to the survey, conducted by independent polling firm Public First."The survey found that almost 1 in 5 MAGA voters said they want the U.S. to end the war regardless of the costs. Politico assessed that it's showing "patience is wearing thin" even among MAGA Republicans. It's the first time something is breaking through to GOP voters, noted Brown. "MAGA devotees may still cheer, but there is a new loser mood swirling around Trump, a boredom with his bloated act," wrote Brown. "His prime time address to the nation on 'election integrity' last week sank like a stone."She noted that even networks refused to carry his remarks, after all, "why should networks take his stale reruns when they have plenty of stale reruns of their own?"Fox followed the speech by refusing to comment about the 2020 election again, she noted, refusing to pretend "the Chinese may be to blame for Trump’s 2020 election loss and gave his speech a hard pass."A poll released by the American Research Group on Wednesday showed 67 percent of Americans disapprove of Trump and the job he's doing.
