Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) made it clear during an impromptu interview on MS NOW that he is prepared to stop acting Attorney General Todd Blanche from assuming the permanent position. As MS NOW host Stephani Ruhle was discussing Blanche’s travails at getting out of the Senate Judiciary Committee, she broke away to Ali Vitali, who had flagged the unaccompanied Cornyn down in a hallway."Hold!" Ruhle cried. "Ali's actually talking to John Cornyn right now." MS NOW swiftly cut to Vitali and Cornyn as he delivered some blunt truths to Trump. “We want Blanche to conform the settlement documents and the tax lawsuit to what a sworn testimony was in the hearing," he said."I don't know whether it's the White House, or somebody who works there, or somebody works for the president is basically telling them, 'Don't agree to those terms' — and so we're kind of back to square one.”“We’re line now on MS NOW,“ Vitali told the Texas Republican. “As you think through what you need from DOJ, if they’re not able to give you the narrower look at that IRS immunity deal, does that mean you are willing to vote no?”“I am prepared to vote no,” he answered. “I owe it to my constituents and, to Mr. Blanche to try to negotiate in good faith. Thee Justice department's "seashell" case against former FBI Director James Comey is a farce that should never have seen the light of day, former Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg claimed on MS NOW. Comey, fired by President Donald Trump, was indicted by a federal grand on two charges in April for posting the picture on Instagram of the seashells spelling out "8647," which federal prosecutors insist was a threat to president’s life. In a recent response to the charges, Comey's lawyers detailed what MS NOW reporters described as "very bad facts" regarding the government's efforts to charge him."Worth reading all the ways the president and his aides ordered up the surveillance and prosecution of Jim Comey for a threat to Trump's life – despite agents concluding no threat existed," said MS NOW's Carol Leonnig on Wednesday.
