President Trump's director of the National Counterterrorism Center, Joe Kent, announced his immediate resignation Tuesday, citing the administration's decision to intervene in Iran.
Mr. Kent announced his resignation as director of the National Counterterrorism Center. He said that pressure from Israel had pushed President Trump into war against Iran.
“I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation,” he said.
