The vice president is also the Republican National Committee's finance chair, and recently hosted lucrative fundraisers in Texas and Northern Virginia.As the RNC's lead fundraiser, Vance has entrée to major GOP donors who could be helpful in a 2028 bid for the White House.What they're saying: "Vice President Vance's visit underscores that Iowans' interests will always be top of mind as long as Republicans are leading the country," White House Deputy Chief of Staff James Blair told Axios."Iowa is at the center of the fight for our majority," Nunn said in a statement, calling Vance's visit "a testament to the momentum we're building."
