The Washington Post, on Monday night, reported that former Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) had "spent three weeks in the hospital" — although his office would not say why the 84-year-old senator was hospitalized, comment on his condition or say when he might be returning to work. Now, GOP strategist Scott Jennings — known for his relentless defense of President Donald Trump during CNN panel debates — is saying that he's been in touch with McConnell.Jennings, in a Tuesday afternoon post on X, wrote, "I spoke to my old friend Mitch McConnell this morning, the senior Senator from Kentucky. He's still recovering in the hospital. We talked for just shy of 20 minutes … about IRAN, UKRAINE, the unfolding situation in MAINE, my visit to the TR Presidential Library, and even a little bit of Senate history.
