Summary
CNN is reporting the connections between convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein and new age, wellness author Deepak Chopra. In a televised report that aired Monday, CNN showed some of the hundreds of emails the two men exchanged over the years after Epstein earned his first conviction. The documents show that their friendship was far more "intimate" than previously known. Between the years 2016 and 2019, the two men also met up in person at Epstein's New York City townhouse, South Florida home and Paris apartment. They would chat about mutual friends, wellness, spirituality and the universe as a whole. Chopra even went so far as to sign off some of his messages using "Love" or "XO."In one message, Chopra said, "I’m deeply grateful for our friendship."Chopra appeared to be aware of Epstein's collection of girls, reporters revealed. "On at least two occasions, Chopra, who has been married for decades, invited Epstein to bring his 'girls' on trips," the CNN report said. “If you want use a fake name. Bring your girls,” Chopra wrote in a 2017 email to Epstein on his way to Israel.Chopra added a note saying: “Your girls would love it as would you.” Chopera then urged Epstein to attend a workshop he was holding in Switzerland. Again, he told Epstein to come “with your girls.”Another 2017 email has Chopera referencing Epstein's "girls" when speaking about former Saudi Princess Ameerah Al-Taweel. Chopra described her as “v sweet – like your girls.”As the two discussed a speech Chopra was giving in Shanghai in 2017, Chopra wrote to Epstein: “Universe is human construct. … Cute girls are aware when they make noises.” He later added: “God is a construct Cute girls are real.”“I was never involved in, nor did I participate in, any criminal or exploitative conduct. Any contact I had was limited and unrelated to abusive activity,” Chopra wrote on X earlier in February. Chopra added that he was “deeply saddened by the suffering of the victims in this case."He also said, "Some past email exchanges have surfaced that reflect poor judgment in tone. I regret that and understand how they read today, given what was publicly known at the time.”
