President Donald Trump announced Friday evening that he had directed U.S. Central Command to execute what he called "one of the most powerful bombing raids in the History of the Middle East" against Iran's strategic Kharg Island.According to Trump's statement posted to Truth Social, the operation "totally obliterated every MILITARY target in Iran’s crown jewel, Kharg Island."The president touted the capabilities of American weaponry, stating "Our Weapons are the most powerful and sophisticated that the World has ever known. However, Trump emphasized that he made a deliberate choice to spare Iran's oil infrastructure, citing "reasons of decency."That restraint came with a stark ultimatum.
