Summary
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche revealed at the Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC, that Trump administration officials fear potential prosecution and indictment if Democrats win the 2028 election. "Everybody's afraid that the next administration, if we don't win, we're going to all be investigated and indicted," said Blanche, citing what happened to Trump associates during the previous administration. He noted Cabinet members and White House staff faced grand jury proceedings, referencing convictions of Steve Bannon, Peter Navarro, Michael Cohen, Roger Stone, and Paul Manafort. Blanche boasted the DOJ removed over 200 attorneys involved in criminal investigations into Trump, "there is not a single man or woman at the Department of Justice who had anything to do with those prosecutions."
