ICE raids targeting construction sites have arrested framers, drywallers, and stucco crews, crippling the building industry. Ronnie Cavazos, president of the South Texas Builders Association, warned the raids "will put us out of business if it continues." Mario Guerrero, executive director of the association, predicted: "The Valley will never be red again. At least not anytime soon."
