Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) was hospitalized after a slip and fall in the bathroom of his Washington, D.C. home.In a statement to Washington Post reporter Kadia Goba, a spokesperson for Wilson's office said, "Last evening, Congressman Wilson slipped in the bathroom of his residence in Washington, DC and cut his head. He was taken to the Emergency Room of a local hospital where he received stitches and is under observation to rule out a concussion. He is alert and working from his hospital room."Wilson, 78, has represented South Carolina in Congress since 2001, is famous for shouting "You Lie!" on the House floor as former President Barack Obama gave a speech.It's not the first time Wilson has had a medical emergency in office. In 2024, he collapsed from low blood pressure during a Ukraine Independence Day celebration in D.C.
