Reflecting Pool to be drained as Trump again blames 'vandals' for recent troubles
Trump said vandals cut a long slit in it and possibly dumped fertiliser in the water, and later threatened to sue over reporting on the pool.

President Donald Trump claimed on Monday that he is going to sue ABC News over a report by the network about the renovation to the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.Chief White House Correspondent Jonathan Karl reported on the souring conditions at the Reflecting Pool last week, including a shot of him lifting the peeling bottom of the pool. Trump wrote on Truth Social that the network "failed to report" on times when the Democrats renovated the pool, and he decided to sue them because of it. "In describing the Vandalism that took place at the Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C., ABC FAKE NEWS, one of the worst in the business, even paying me $16,000,000 for past bad and inaccurate reporting, failed to report that their close 'friends,' Dumocrats Obama and Biden, spent over 100 Million Dollars on the Reflecting Pool, and it never worked," Trump wrote in the post. "In fact, it was rarely open due to leaks and 'stench,'" he added. "They wanted to spend 300 to 400 Million Dollars, but just let it ROT. I spent approximately 16 Million Dollars, and it came out great, except for the Vandalism, which we are now fixing. It was also a much bigger job than originally envisioned, including the outer areas and sidewalks. We are preparing lawsuits against ABC for false reporting. I like their money, which will be given to the U.S. Treasury!"Trump's claims came at a time when the Reflecting Pool renovation project was under significant scrutiny. The project was initially estimated to cost roughly $2 million, but the cost ballooned to around $16 million. Trump also promised to get rid of the algae-infested water in the pool, but the algae have returned in full force.

An embarrassed conservative columnist admitted that CNN had accurately reported on the details of President Donald Trump's proposed deal with the Iranian regime, even though the columnist refused to believe it. Becket Adams, a conservative columnist for The Hill and National Review Online, wrote in a new op-ed for The Hill on Monday that the president's cosplaying as "war chief" has been disastrous. He also slighted the so-called Memorandum of Understanding that Trump and the Iranians allegedly agreed to, which punts talks about the Iranians' nuclear program in exchange for allowing the global sponsor of terrorism to immediately resume selling oil. Adams argued that the deal showed "there’s nothing left except to concede that the U.S. was done in by a few mines.""Boy, was I wrong," he wrote. Adams claimed he took issue with the way CNN framed the agreement, saying he didn't believe the Iranian regime would think to close the Strait of Hormuz again. On Saturday, the Iranian military announced it was doing just that in response to continued fighting between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon. "The cable network later updated its reporting to explain that 'Trump administration officials briefed lawmakers on long-standing military plans to address a major disruption to the Strait, according to one official, but that multiple sources familiar with the session said there was no indication there were any near-term solutions.' I criticized this framing as well, given that the clarification was way off from the first claim," Adams claimed. "Again, I apologize. CNN’s sources were clearly correct. This iteration of the Trump presidency is exactly as inept as advertised," he added.
Add David Hearn to Donald Trump's ever-growing list of enemies of the state. The Bethesda man was out for a bike ride in Washington, D.C., last Friday and decided to spin over to the Reflecting Pool see how its new, Trump-ordained "American flag blue" color struck him. He noticed that a piece of the new blue liner was partly detached from the pool's bottom (it's only 18 inches deep at the edges), and he reached down to see what it felt like, he told The Washington Post.

President Trump went off on reporters, attempting to deny that vandals are destroying the Reflecting Pool at the Lincoln Memorial and criticizing his repair project to fix the broken and filthy pond. Deranged liberals have been tearing out the new American flag blue sealant that lines the bottom of the pool with the intention of giving the water a blue reflection.
