Key Trump accuser documents mysteriously disappear from explosive Epstein files

Summary
Records from a woman who accused both President Donald Trump and late financier and convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein of sexual assault were missing in the Epstein files released by the Department of Justice, according to a New York Times report Wednesday. The uncorroborated accusation stems from a woman who came forward to the FBI in 2019 after Epstein was arrested, The Times reported. In the bureau memos, she said she was attacked by both men in the 1980s, when she was a minor. "The existence of the memos was revealed in an index listing the investigative materials related to her account, which was publicly released," The Times reported. "According to that index, the F.B.I. conducted four interviews in connection with her claims and wrote summaries about each one. But only one summary of the four interviews, which describes her accusations against Mr. Epstein, was released by the Justice Department. The other three are missing."No interview notes are included in the files, which were indicated to be in the index. "It is unclear why the materials are missing," according to The Times. "The Justice Department said in a statement to The Times on Monday that 'the only materials that have been withheld were either privileged or duplicates.' In a new statement on Tuesday, the department also noted that documents could have been withheld because of 'an ongoing federal investigation.'"DOJ officials have not revealed why the memos related to this woman's claim were not publicly released. Other FBI memos involving different accusations have been released as the agency comes under fire over questions about how it handled the release of the Epstein files, including whose names were redacted or what information was not included in the Epstein library on its website. Trump has continued to deny any wrongdoing. White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson said the president has “been totally exonerated on anything relating to Epstein.”
