Source: Raw Story · Bias: Far Left
Summary
The Donald Trump administration suffered a fresh embarrassment on Friday morning with the new jobs report revealing what was supposed to show a substantial job increase and instead revealed the country lost jobs. With the country reeling from newly increased fuel prices since the president launched a war on Iran, creating chaos in the Middle East, the administration had been looking for some good news which failed to materialize. As MS NOW’s Jonathan Lemire explained, “We have breaking economic news with the release just moments ago of the February jobs report. It shows that the US economy lost 92,000 jobs last month, a big departure from the expected gain of 50,000 jobs that economists had initially predicted.”“Going through some of the math now, including some of the downward revisions we've seen in recent months, since April 2025, the US economy in total has lost jobs, running very contrary to the narrative that President Trump puts forward out there about the US economy booming and this being a new golden age,” he elaborated.“In fact, this jobs report... no way around it,” he stated. “Unexpectedly bad for this White House, bad for the American economy. ... Definitely an economic earthquake with today's jobs report." - YouTube youtu.be
