CBS Evening News anchor Tony Dokoupil, a handpicked disciple of MAGA-approved CBS boss Bari Weiss, is facing yet another series of controversies, the New York Post reported on Wednesday.This comes after prior reports revealing Dokoupil has failed to win trust in the newsroom, and had a staff crisis that completely derailed his broadcast from Taiwan earlier this year."On Friday, the last-place news program — which was relaunched in January with Dokoupil taking the anchor seat — mistakenly aired an image of rapper Kanye West instead of Sean 'Diddy' Combs in its report that President Trump was mulling a pardon of Combs," who was sentenced to 50 months in a high-profile federal sex-crimes case. Although "the error was quietly fixed in the 'Evening News’ West Coast broadcast and for digital and streaming," it has raised fears of ongoing short-staffing.This incident was far from a one-off. Another humiliation came as the network tried to broadcast Trump's Great American State Fair celebrations as they were disrupted by heavy storms."More than 100 staffers were pulled in to air July 4 broadcasts, which would include performances from the Zac Brown Band, Vanilla Ice, Jon Batiste and the Goo Goo Dolls – with Dokoupil anchoring live from the Washington Monument," said the report.
